Summary | 0001803: Background layers don't repeat correctly at certain aspect ratios |
---|
Description | When playing the game on a screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio (2880 x 1920) or one with a 21:9 aspect ratio (3440 x 1440), some background layers will abruptly snap to a completely different place once they reach a certain point. Switching my computer's display to a 16:9 aspect ratio makes the problem go away, which leads me to think it's related to that. |
---|
Steps To Reproduce | Set your computer's display resolution to something that's not a 16:9 aspect ratio (2880 x 1920 and 3440 x 1440 are the ones I've used) and go to the main menu. The two layers of walls will each jump to a different position at their own intervals, it happens pretty frequently. |
---|
Additional Information | I've tested it with two computers on the same monitor, but I haven't tested that many different configurations. The fact that it happened with a screen narrower than 16:9 and one wider than that made it seem like it wasn't just these two specific resolutions that had a problem, though. It's not just the vertical looping of these layers in the main menu, it happens with horizontal scrolling during gameplay as well. In that situation, you can pinpoint the spot you can walk through to make a background layer shift, and snap it back and forth by walking through that x coordinate repeatedly. It's pretty jarring. |
